Electrical cabins underground in Potenza

These are electrical cabins designed following Enel DG 2031 specifications and are constructed as a single monobloc with a central prefabricated reinforced vibrated concrete structure ranging in thickness from 9cm to 13cm, ensuring a smooth and ribless surface. Between the structure and the cover, both internally and externally, everything is finished with suitable products to ensure perfect water tightness, thus providing a degree of protection towards the outside IP 33 CEI 70/1 Standards.

Ventilation is provided by two prefabricated concrete side shafts with internally two windows for natural ventilation of the room.

The supply of the cabin includes external waterproofing with double bituminous sheathing, fracture flanges for cable entry, metal carpentry, and a galvanised steel hatch for the entrance of personnel into the cabin.

All elements are produced with self-compacting high-performance concrete with a strength class of not less than C 35/45, using CEM I 52.5R cement in our mix. The steels used for the construction of the electrical cabin are of type B450C, and all structural elements are reinforced using double mesh and reinforcements where slots and holes are present. The cover iron used in the reinforcements is not less than 2.5cm. The construction of the cabin complies with the standards indicated in the technical specifications DG 2031 and DM 17.1.2018 and any technical specifications provided by the client.
